AP-3012
Outdoor Access Point (802.11b)

The TurboWave AP-3012 is a powerful NEMA 12 rated outdoor Access Point (AP) that delivers increased range, strong security, and ease of use.

The AP-3012 uses the patented smart antenna to transmit to clients up to 15 miles away in open space. The antenna uses circular polarization to deliver greater penetration and distance with less interference. This allows wireless network operators to establish a perfect link the moment the radios are activated without the final alignment procedures normally required for yagis or grid antennas using vertical or horizontal polarization. Link quality is superb and absolutely stable. In fact, the antenna performs flawlessly in circumstances when other antennas fail.

The TurboWave AP is also easy to install and manage. Unlike other access points, the TurboWave radio and antenna are housed in one enclosure allowing a direct connection from the AP to the network. To make installation even easier, the AP uses power-over-ethernet to deliver both data and power over one CAT5 cable. It can be mounted unobtrusively on most buildings or on a pole. To configure and manage the device requires only a Web browser. The AP is also designed to work with the TurboWave Management Server for advanced monitoring and management. (For more information, see the TurboWave Management Server data sheet.)

Smart Antenna
The patented smart antenna uses circular polarization to provide greater penetration, signal stability, and distance allowing you to cover areas impossible to reach with regular antennas.

Higher Tx Power & Rx Sensitivity
Up to 34dBm of of gain paired with up to -94dBm of receive sensitivity offers the greatest range and link stability of any other WiFi compatible AP.

Unified Outdoor Enclosure
The TurboWave AP is a compact, weather-proof unit that includes both the radio and the antenna. The enclosure is NEMA 12 rated to resist all kinds of weather and climates.

Easy Installation
Installing a TurboWave AP is made even easier with integrated power over Ethernet. Just run one cable to the AP and both power and data are carried over CAT5 cable.

Secure
Both WPA and WEP are supported, in addition to MAC address filtering to ensure that no unauthorized clients can access the network. The AP can also ‘hide’ the SSID to prevent casual discovery of the network.

Easy Configuration
A Web browser is all that is required to configure and manage the AP. This allows for both quick setup, as well as remote access to the AP for management and troubleshooting. DHCP and SNMP are also supported to allow even greater deployment flexibility.
